Earlier this year I had the absolute joy of seeing one of my favorite groups performed live and in person! I was so engrossed in the show that for just over two and a half hours, everything dark and dreary thing in my life faded away. Now, I have a chance to hold that memory even closer as the group has officially released a Blu-Ray of the concert that fans can re-live over and over again in the comfort of their own home!
Filmed on 10 June at the Tokyo Dome, as the lights darkened and 5,000 fans fried out in excitement. Myself included. I was there. So, re-watching the concert brought back a lot of memories. One of which, the screams on the disc are nothing. The excitement of the fans, myself included, was thunderous. You could feel the excitement.
If you want to read the full review of the concert you can do so here. Besides a few highlights, I’ll focus mainly on the disc itself.
タペストリー (Tapestry)
The theme of Meguro’s romantic fantasy epic, My Happy Marriage it’s gorgeous. Side Note: I was so mesmerized by Meguro in person, it was nice to actually be able to see some of what the other guys were doing!
Cry Out
A favorite Junior track, Iwamoto hypnotized the audience with he ripped off his shirt and started dancing around shirtless. I am ashamed to say tat even Meguro lost my focus during this one.
Presented in 1080p the concert clocks in at approximately 158 minutes (just over 2.5 hours). A bonus disc, also includes five live tracks (KISSIN’ MY LIPS, クラクラ, GOTCHA!, VROOM VROOM VROOM, Two, and BASS BON) shot from multiple angles as well as excerpts of the performance from Kyocera Dome Osaka (the first day of the tour).
First Press exclusives include a sleeve case and a 52-page photo book. If you would like to purchase your own copy, you can do so wherever Japanese music and movies are sold, including CD Japan!
More Snow Man in 2024 so…
