If there is one thing a group under STARTO knows how to do, it’s put on a show – and while all their groups are phenomenal, there’s something special about SixTONES. Their musicality, their choreography, their overall sex appeal. While I haven’t been able to experience them live yet as I have with Travis Japan or Snow Man, I do have the next best thing in the form of the blu-ray release of their 2023 concert: Kansei no Hosoku in DOME.

After the accapella overture from their third album (Voice), the show opens with a steamy rendition of one of my favorite Junior era tracks AMAZING!!!!!! After a few suggestive hip-gyrations, the guy jump to their feet and the atmosphere only gets hotter as they start to move.

Highlights from the concert include:

OUTRAGEOUS
Hands down, this is one of my most favorite songs from the group. Ever. Included on it’s sexy. It’s fun. And how often do you really get to hear songs with the word OUTRAGEOUS in them (Unless you’re Jem and the Holograms)?!?

ABARERO
A tapestry of sound, on its own, this song is a state-of-the-art symphonic experience, that showcases these guys’ talent. Add the visuals and the sweat and sexuality of these guys take it to a whole other level.

DANCE ALL NIGHT
While there hasn’t been an official YouTube video of this song from the concert released, it was a pretty spectacular performance. Included on their debut album ST, it’s pretty incredible to watch them move in sync – especially when they do the robot.

Waves Crash
Included as a B-Side to their 6th single 共鳴 (Resonance), it’s just a really fun song.

Cat Call
Included on  this is one of those ear-worm songs that just won’t let you go. It’s also one of the songs I’ve been curious about how they’d perform live. I wasn’t disappointed. Watching the guys move like cats is hysterical and oddly (though not surprisingly) sexy.

MR.ZUDON
A fan favorite, this song is weird, but fun and something the crowds go wild over!

DRIVE
Included as a B-Side to ABARERO, SixTONES can make anything look sexy. Side Note: I love how the groups find interesting and fun ways to get them out into the audience.

RAM-PAM-PAM
I mean, mean, anyone who knows SixTONES knows how sexy this song is – if you don’t know it, do yourself a favor and look it up.

Again, as entertainers, SixTONES are top tier performers. From start to finish, there wasn’t a slow moment in the entire show. While I love seeing them from the comfort of my own home, hopefully for the next tour… I’ll be live and in person!

More SixTONES soon so…

Stay Tuned!
