2023 was a big year for me. I discovered new music, met idols, and interviewed creatives from all over the world! One of my favorite moments was the discovery of the K-POP idol group OnlyOneOf.

Their album series UndergrOund idOl is smart, sexy, and anything but “straight.”

Released through 8D Entertainment, each physical copy of the album is housed in a hardback photo book, that focuses on that one of the group’s members. Sturdy and sleek, the albums are fun and unique. In addition to the primary single, each album includes a remix of one of their previous releases.

YooJung: “begin“
Kicking off with a bang, The sexy track is accompanied by an even steamier story. YooJun as a young restaurant worker who falls in lust with a handsome teacher, played by KB – who may not be as put together as he appears.

Their story continues in KB’s disco daydream of a track”be free“

JunJi: “be mine“

JunJi, a friend of KB meets Rie, at YooJung’s restaurant. Like “begin” it’s very sexy, and JunJi has a gorgeous voice! 

Rie: “because“

Paradise isn’t always perfect, but this synth-pop track is! While the video is very emotional, the song is incredible!

Mill: “beat”

As the rapper of the group, Mill’s song is a bit harder than the rest of them. The video introduces him to Nine, the new kid in school. The two become fast friends, but there’s something more – even though not everyone approves.

Nine: “beyond“

The series concludes, a bit more open-mindedly than I would like, but showing that Nine’s feelings toward Mill are strong.
