Once God reveals that there is no way both Gu-Won and Do-He will survive, Gu-Won pleads for a deal. However, God reveals that there is nothing that can be done. While it’s true, she gave him his powers, she didn’t take them away – and fate isn’t going to make this easy for them. But Gu-Won is determined. He doesn’t want to die, but he doesn’t want to live with out her either.

In the apartment, Do-He makes Gu-Won a Halloween birthday cake. However, she adds salt instead of sugar, and the cake, though gorgeous, tastes awful. Still, Gu-Won wants to be a supportive husband. He endures. While he tells Do-He he believes he can get the tattoo back, he doesn’t quite tell her how – and he doesn’t tell her that if his plan fails, the only way to restore his powers is for her to die.

However, since she does not share the demon’s love for his human, Ga-Young doesn’t mince words. She tells Do-He that she must kill herself for him to survive. She then gives her poison pills. Gu-Won is furious at her for getting involved. In the end, however, Do-He agrees to help. She wants to do whatever needs to be done to keep both of them safe.

Do-Kyung doesn’t care about the safety of either one of them. Badly beaten by his father, what little remains of his sanity is shattered. So, he follows the newlyweds and crashes his car into a gas station convenience store before Gu-Won can react just as Ga-Young and Sang Yi arrive. They all watch helplessly as Do-Kyung and Do-He are engulfed in the flames of a massive explosion.

Though Ga-Young begs him not to, Gu-Won rushes to save his wife They both die. However, it’s only for a moment. As Do-He takes her last breath, the tattoo transfers to Gu-won just before he takes his.
With his powers restored he can save both of them.

Everything is as it should be… For now, and God herself seems pleased.

Quick Take: My mother taught me to never say bad things about the dead. Only good. Do-Kyung is dead. Good. Seok-Min is getting more nand more psychotic. His wife, Se-Ra (Yun Hee Jo) is worthless.
