Though still under interrogation for Madam Ju’s murder, which everyone knows is fake, Do-Hee is allowed, in secret, to rush to her husband’s side. Though the doctor has done everything he can, he’s confident that Gu-Won will not make it through the night.

When Do-Hee arrives, she falls at Gu-Won’s side, gripping his hand around her wrist. But nothing happens. Collapsing on top of him, she bursts into tears. Finally, he wakes, but he’s not completely healed. His powers are still on the fritz.

Watching Gu-Won wake up, Seok-Hoon’s suspicions are confirmed, both that he isn’t husband, and that Do-Hee is aware. But he’s going to have to get behind Ga-Young, who does not mince words with Do-Hee. She blames her for everything, and she wants her gone.

Knowing Gu-won has seen his real face, Gwang-Chol is cowering in fear. What’s more, both Seok-Min and his psychopathic son seem to be aware that Gu-Won is not only a demon but that his powers are failing.

Back home, Gu-Won still isn’t fully healed, so Do-Hee agrees to not only let him sleep in her bed but recommends even more body contact. Afraid something even more terrible is going to happen to him, Do-Hee removes herself from the running for the chairperson of the Future group, all but assuring it will go to Seok-Min.

Quick Take: The intrigue of this series is so addicting. It just keeps getting better and better. I absolutely love his series.
