It’s the night of the Freshy competition. Fah comes to support his brother and Gia comes to support Kluen. In the end, however, both of them lose to Typhoon. When Fah arrives to pick up Nuea, his friends, including Typhoon finally realize that the two are brothers. In the stairwell, Fah runs into Prince, portrayed by Jiruntanin Trairattanayon (Mark) who will become very important to him later on. It’s a swift, but sweet moment.

To celebrate the end of the competition, the class is taken to a breach report, the same one owned by Kluen’s family. Glad to reconnect with Klune’s mother, Nuea offers to heliport wherever he can. It’s perfect timing because there isn’t enough seafood to feed all of the kids, so Kluen and Nuea go to the market.

Knowing Typhoon wants to hit on Nuea puts Kluen in a bad mood and he ends up snapping at Nuea, which he instantly regrets. However, the two do get a chance to talk at the market, and even end up painting teeshirts for one another.

At dinner, Typhoon decides he is going to hit on Nuea. He wants to be the one to make him forget about the person who rejected him in high school – though he has no idea it’s Kluen. Phaphaeng, Preeyaphat Lawsuwansiri (Earn) also wants to confess to Nuea. When she does, rather than tell her directly he tells her he’ll think about it. Typhoon then sweeps his, offering him support and for Nuea to give him his pain and sadness so he can throw it away. Walking up on them, Kluen watches, heartbroken.

Mid Way Thoughts: Again, I hate miscommunication. Though I do know it will lead to tensions later on, if Kluen had been upfront or Nuea been more bold the two of them would be so much happier than they are now! Typhoon isn’t a bad guy, but I really remember hating him during the original run of the series. He was just so smug and confident that he was the better choice for Nuea, without asking him.

TingTing is one of my favorite BL- besties. She’s not afraid to put Nuea in his place when he’s being a punk. Ne and Pong are also very true to how real-life friends would react in certain situations, especially teasing Nuea about Kluen, when he’s standing right there.

Of all these things, the one I am most certain of is that Samantha Melanie Coats is a comedic treasure.

More Star in My Mind soon so…
