As Tian rests in his care, Dr. Nam calls Mr. Winai from the Sangthong Aid Foundation to get more information about him. During the call, he learns that Tian’s father Teerayut Sopasitsakun (Jakkrit Ammarat, Ton), is the former Secretary of the National Resources Ministry. Though he doesn’t let the teacher know he knows, he understands that this could pose an even bigger danger to the village if something happens to Tian.

Phua and the rangers discover that the fire at the school was not an accident but arson. Also, everyone knows that it’s because Tian dared challenge Sakda’s men. Fearing they might return to finish him off, Phua demands that Tian stay with him, in his cabin for protection. After A shower, Phua helps Tian clean himself. He even offers for Tian to have the bed. After a bit of an argument, Phua decides that the best way Tian can repay him is by giving him a massage – which is something he’s in desperate need of. Once finished it’s not only decided that the two will share the bed, but that Phua will hold on to him (read: Cuddle) to ensure his safety.
After receiving Tian’s medical records, Dr. Nam starts putting the pieces together. Especially when he realizes that the date of Tian’s heart translation was the same day Torfun died. He confesses some of his thoughts to Phua, but only that he thinks that Tian and Torfun share the same spirit, something Phua laughs off. Though they have similarities he does not think the old teacher has possessed the new one.
Two men appear in the village, scared out of their wits after they run into what they call angry spirits on Ghost Hill. Their story frightens the villagers. They advise the chief to make sure none of the villagers go to Ghost Hill for fear that they may fall victim to its viciousness. Tian doesn’t buy the story but is pulled away by Longtae before he can say anything.
As the two friends talk, Tian tells him of his weight with the chief, including the massage. Tian can’t hide his smile, which makes a knowing Longtae do the same. He’s happy for his friend.
Nam and Phua know the men who set fire to the school (their shirts were stained with fuel) but instead of arresting them on the spot, Phua takes them to local authorities. Though they’re guilty, they work for Sakda. He hopes that by showing them leniency, they will agree to be moles that could finally help take the kingpin down.
With a small victory, Phua and the Rangers have a little too much to drink. Later, as he and Tian are (sort of) confessing their feelings to one another Phua leans in for a kiss, but passes out just before their lips touch. The next day he takes Tian out for a surprise. The school has been rebuilt. Everyone chipped in to help and the act brings tears to Tian’s eyes.
Dr. Nam receives more of Tian’s medical records and learns that Tian has Torfun’s heart. He also learns that the car that hit Torfun was owned by Tian.
Standing in the new school with Longtae beside him, Tian decides it’s time to tell everyone the truth. But, just before he can Nam calls the chief and does it for him.

Quick Take: I love this series. I really do. The romance is a slow sizzle, but the drama is high stakes. Though yes, it does fall into the “lack of communication” trope which normally drives me insane. I still love this story. so much. Though episode eight is my least favorite of the series, I know it is a necessary point in the story.
