Tian wakes up from the night before in different clothes. He realizes that Phua must have been the one to help him. This means that he’s seen Tian’s scars.

Noticing Tian is out of essentials, Phua asks Tian to accompany him into town. When they get there they meet up with delectable Dr. Nam (Krittanai Asanprakit, Nammon) who advises Tian that Phua has promised that he’d cook them dinner that evening. However, halfway through shopping, Phua is called back to the village.
Annoyed at first, the alone time does give Tian the opportunity to talk to Nam about the cheif and his relationship with the ill-fated Torfun (whom know one knows he knows anything about). However, Nam tells Tian the same thing he told Phua when he asked him about what could cause the scars on Tian’s chest… “Ask him yourself.”
Back at the village, it’s revealed that Tian is a terrible cook. Still, he does manage to salvage enough food that the three men are able to enjoy something that is at least edible. Phua also gives Tian a new misquote net, so he won’t be eaten alive the next time he spends the night.
On their way back to base, Dr. Nam teases Phua about already day-dreaming about Tian. The two also talk about how much he reminds them of Torfun.
The next day, Tian learns that there is about to be a wedding. as an engineering student he’s asked to help them build a chair that bride can be carried on to her new home. It turns in to an all day event the goes into the evening when the Howling Dog ceremony* takes place. It’s a ceremony in which no children are aloud to be out after dark, no naturally some of younger adult men sneak to take a peak at what’s happening. However Phua shows up and runs them off one by one. Except Tian whom he teases then walks back to his home.
The next day Phua gets all dressed up to take Tian to the Pha Phun Dao cliff. The two enjoy a pleasant day and find a pair of Tucans, whom Phua informs Tian mate for life. It’s a soft and sweet moment.

Quick Take: The slow burn of this series is absolutely its charm. While the attraction is instant, Phua and Tian’s relationship is from the ground up.
*Apparently this is a tradition in some villages, where the groom has intercourse with a widow before his wedding day.
