While watching Woo Hyeol dance with In Hae, Hae Won loses her temper. After shattering several glasses she storms out of the mansion. In Hae follows her, to try to make amends, but it’s too late. Hae Won and everyone else at the party can clearly see she has feelings for Woo Hyeol. She then says some very cruel things to In Hae, whom both Woo Hyeol and Do Shik have come to protect.

After In Hae goes inside to end the party, Do Shik pulls Woo Hyeol aside. Again he tells him he wants. him to leave. He’s now put In Hae in a very bad position. This is his last warning.

Having seen everything Mr. Ko visits Woo Hyeol – but it’s not just to lecture him. He tells him that he is the reason Hae Sun was killed. He inadvertently mentioned an arrow that could kill vampires to Nombleman Shin (Kim Ba Da) – the man who not only hunted Woo Hyeol but is also Do Shik’s ancestor. The reason Mr. Ko has been attached to the vampire for so long is because of his guilt. He’s made it his mission to help him get his deepest wish.

Realizing the scale with Hae Sun’s drawing is missing, Woo Hyeol desperately tries to find it. In Hae even joins in. Neither one of them knows that Hae Won has the drawing and that it was given to her by Man Hwi after he broke into the mansion and stole it.

Man Hwi hears Do Shik talking to Secretary Koo about needing to find the vampire who stands between his now kind and the humans and how maybe they should hire a vampire to help them from the inside. The only thing they know is that he will be recognizable by a scar on his body.

Wallowing in her own self-pity, Hae Won drunk dials Woo Hyeol. Feeling guilty he goes to to help her. The next day, she reveals that she has the drawing of Hae Sun and that she’ll keep it after he fulfills his promise. Believing she is the one he is destined with she gives him a choice of either leaving the mansion or kicking In Hae out.

Woo Hyeol’s response is simple. His destiny lies with the person who taught him how to love, not a woman who merely looks like Hae Sun. Leaving her alone to rot with her negativity, he walks home. Recalling Hae Sun, he realizes just how different she is from Hae Won. However, the one who’s making his heartbeat, the one who’s awoken these feelings in him, is the one who woke him in his coffin. In Hae.

Worried about how long he’s been gone, In Hae leaves the apartment to find Woo Hyeol. She discovers him lost in his thoughts on a bridge overlooking the city. When he sees her approach, he smiles, but then he collapses. Luckily Dong Seop and Sang Hae are close by and she cries for help. Together, the three of them rush him back to the mansion.

While his friends worry about his well-being, In Hae is beside herself with worry. Sitting beside him, she tells him stories about times when she was sick in bed. She tells him that she’ll stay by his side, so he can take his time to rest and get better. The next morning, Woo Hyeol was up in her room, and In Hae was asleep at the foot of the bed. She’s overjoyed at the fact that he’s awake.

Confessing her feelings to him, Woo Hyeol kisses her. Sunlight filled the room.

While Do Shik contemplates what Woo Hyeol means to In Hae, Man Hwi stops by his office to offer his services as a vampire.

Quick Take: I am so glad that Woo Hyeol and In Hae have finally shared their first (real) kiss and I love that he put Hae Won in her place. I am however nervous about Do Shik and Man Hwi.

Now that they’ve kissed, what will become of In Hae and Woo Hyeol? Find out in episode 12! More Heartbeat soon so…
