Do Shik tries to warn In Hae about Woo Hyeol, but she plays it off, which, to him, comes off as very suspicious. He wants to protect her, but now he’s wondering if maybe she knows more than she’s letting on.
While In Hae and Woo Hyeol enjoy a walk in the park, Woo Hyeol’s mind is elsewhere. He’s remembering Hae Sun. He promises that as soon as he sorts things out, he’ll keep the promise he made, then he embraces Hae Won. Confused by his words, she wants to know more about him. So, she hires Man Hwi to find out everything she can about him. He then breaks into Woo Hyeol’s room and finds Hae Sun’s portrait.
When Woo Hyeol finally arrives home, In Hae lectures him about slacking off. Though she knows he’s got a lot on his mind, there’s still a job that needs to be done. The two argue. She knows he blames her for ruining his plan and making him into what he is. Everything he worked so hard for, is over. He then leaves to go get drunk on human food with his friends. When Mr. Ko finds out Dong Seop and Sang Hae for letting him get drunk on human food. He told them to be careful. If they’re not he could die.
The Guest House gets their second boarder (guest star Choi Dae Chul) as a lonely father who’s trying to find a place in the world and within his own family (who lives abroad). He’s story resonates with In Hae who is missing her own father. She understands him.
Woo Hyeol and In Hae make amends on their neighborhood patrol. They spot a young couple kissing. She tells him that her falling in love is like the old tree int heir yard suddenly spouting blossoms. It’s never going to happen.

In the office, Do Shik suffers a cardiac event that lands him in the hospital. He then has Secretary Koo go to his home to collect an old book, written by his ancestor – the man who killed Hae Sun. The only way to cure the curse on his family, Do Shik must remove his heart and drink he blood, then he will be immortal.
Later, when In Hae returns home she finds the dead tree in their yard glistening with blossoms of light. Woo Hyeol decorated the tree for her. It’s beautiful. Then he tells her that too. become human, he needs her love.
Quick Take: I do like that Do Shik is worried about In Hae, but there’s something troubling just under the surface. I’m getting major red flags. Woo Hyeol however is one big green flag. I love him. If In Hae won’t have him, I will!
