This series is the guiltiest of guilty pleasures. It’s such a mess. A sweaty, breathless, sticky mess. GMMTV, known for their cute and cuddly romantic comedy dramas has upped the ante with this steamy drama driven by sex, and though it took a minute, the story is starting to get good.
Top and Mew – played by ForceBook

As the “main couple” of the series, and the only couple who are “dating” – and I use that term VERTY LOOSLY – there’s something incredibly toxic about them. First, Top is a playboy, shining his torch in any deep dark cavern that will let him in – without protection, including one of Mew’s closest “friends”. He’s also a coke-head. Mew, who on the surface appears to be innocent and sweet has a certain level of crazy building just behind his eyes. But, still, they were kind of milk toast until episode 6. I LOVE how Mew called out Top for having sex with Boston while they were getting hot and heavy on their own – to celebrate Mew’s birthday. However, I do not like how Mew uses his virginity as a prize, and I’m not even sure he’s still holding onto that card.
Boston and Nick – played by NeoMark

Boston is the “Friend” of Mew’s that Top slept with. Simply put he’s a slut, but he owns it and is completely honest about who he is and what he wants. He doesn’t care. He’s hot, he knows what he’s got, and he’s 100% verse, so he’s open to everything. Though he’s incredibly selfish, he’s never pretended to be anything other than who he is. Nick is the exact opposite. He’s young, naive, and has fallen head-over-heels for Boston. Obsessive and sly, his stalker tendencies are a major red flag and he ended up recording Top and Boston’s hook-up.
Sand and Ray played by FirstKhaotung.

When the series started I was rooting for these two. They were the underdogs. Ray is struggling with addiction, abandonment issues, and poor life decisions. Sand is just struggling. Period. Incredibly poor and not accustomed to the rich and lavish lifestyle of Ray and his friends. Though their first interaction was a fight in the men’s room, there was a spark that eventually started to fan the flames of desire, and little by little they started to fall for one another. However, Ray still has feelings for Mew and for some reason, Sand hates Top with a passion. In a moment of frustration, Sand, who is Nick’s roommate, stole the recording of Top and Boston and gave it to Ray, who gave it to Mew. It was a dick move and proved that he’s not as innocent as I initially thought.
Halfway through I realized that GMMTV went into this dry. Now that we’re getting to the meat of the story it’s getting easier to take. It’s a disaster, but a beautiful one. It’s not something I ever expected from GMMTV but I like it. I’m interested in seeing where it goes and I’m glad we’re getting an uncut version as well.
