There doesn’t seem to be any slowing down for Japanese idol Kento Nakajima. As one of the four members of the JPOP group Sexy Zone, he’s a chart-topping pop star. With roles in critically acclaimed series and films, he’s also an incredibly gifted actor. With the release of “ROSSO”, he can now add producer to his list of growing credits.

As his solo song from Sexy Zone’s latest album Chapter II, the project is part of Nakajima’s desire to appeal himself an international audience.
“My objective in conceptualizing this ‘ROSSO’ music video was to give the fans an unforgettable precious gift in my twenties, yes at 29,” Nakajima said in his official statement. “And to validate my thoughts, feelings, creativity, and status as an artist.”
Creative is a good word to describe the video, which for the most part focuses on Nakajima, dressed to the nines in tailored fashion and one blood-red glove. In (what looks like) the basement of a dive bar, he and a handful of dancers perform. There are no gimmicks here. No flash. Just talent.
“So I took it as a challenge,” he continues. “I, together with the team, started to plan from zero and brain-storming about the concept, structure, location, and of course the whole production cost itself (whew!) Honestly, as a first-timer, it wasn’t that easy but we’re all so proud with the finished product. Great job guys, we made it! Mission accomplished. Kudos!”
“I’m very happy and yes so proud with the result and so grateful to everyone involved in this project,” he states proudly. “Glad that I was able to make a concept video that I hope inspires and uplifts a lot of people and I also wish this CV of mine reaches the world. Thank you all so much for making this possible. This made me realize that my feelings and thoughts as an artist are valid. I heartily dedicate this ‘ROSSO’ concept video to all of you. Enjoy watching!”
More Kento and Sexy Zone soon so…
