The thought of walking into a gym and seeing any one of the members of Snow Man working out, in any capacity is the stuff of fantasy, but to have all nine members of the popular JPOP group flexing and having fun is a fever dream I would never want to be woken from. And that’s exactly what they do in their newest Dance Practice video for their song “POWEEEEER!”
Set against the backdrop of what is probably the coolest gym I’ve ever seen, the color scheme of the video fits the message of the song. Mostly blue, this bright and bold color symbolizes freedom, intuition, imagination, inspiration, and sensitivity – all of which Snow Man, as a group, perfectly embodies.
My favorite parts of the video, include the guys stopping to wave at the camera (how adorable does Koji look?!?), Daisuke breakdancing, and the way that, throughout the entire video, Raul is so into everything he’s doing. Seriously, when this kid shouts “I’m going crazy now” he is – in the best way possible – and that energy is infectious.
It’s the perfect visual companion for the high-energy track.
Featured on their third studio album i DO ME the song was also featured as the theme to the “Power Up Your Refreshment” Japan national TV campaign from Minitia candies, starring Snow Man as official brand ambassadors.
If you haven’t listened to i DO ME it’s filled with tracks like “POWEEEEER” you an order the album here.
