Moonlight Chicken was one of those series that just warmed my heart. It’s more adult than a lot of GMMTV dramas, as the characters act like actual adults; they’re not embarrassed by sex or shy about having it. But it’s also not the ruling part of their lives. The relationships between Jim (Earth) and Wen (Mix) and Li Ming (Fourth) and Heart (Gemini) are so complex and interesting, and I love watching the four of them on screen together.

So the moment GMMTV announced a box set, I pre-ordered it, and as usual, I was not disappointed.

The Box itself, like all GMMTV sets, is sturdy and well-made. Also, I love how the design of the slipcase interacts with the lid of the DVD set.

The set comes with all 8 episodes on 4 discs plus a bonus disc including Behind the Scenes and music videos including the series theme The Moon Represents My Heart (performed by Earth, Mix, First, Khaotung, Fourth, and Gemini)

As well as Tomorrow by Ford Arun

The boxset also comes with a photo book and large photo cards, perfect for framing.

There are also a plethora of postcards and mini photo cards. Honestly, there’s so many extras, that make the $145 price tag through eThaiCd worth it. If you’d like to order your own copy, you can do so here.
