One of the many joys of discovering the vast and beautiful world of Asian dramas so late in the game is that there is a plethora of entertainment for me to choose from – and it’s all top-notch. Take, for instance, the 2019 supernatural procedural. He is Psychometric. 

Directed by Kim Byeong Soo, this comedic thriller with a hint of romantic drama aired on TV in 2019 from 11 March to 19 April. Starting with a gruesome murder and fire explosions, the series stars JINYOUNG (of the KPOP idol group GOT7 – and one of my favorite series Legend of the Blue Sea) as Lee Ahn, a young man with an incredible power that allows him to sense other people’s secrets just by a simple touch. Shin Ye Eun (from the smash-hit The Secret Romantic Guesthouse) stars as Yoon Jae, a young woman who will stop at nothing to hide a traumatic secret from her past.

I clicked for the supernatural story centered around the beautiful JINYOUNG and was sucked in by the comedy sprinkled into some of the most unexpected moments. The story is intricate and engaging, allowing you to get lost in a labyrinth of emotions, lead by some of the countries finest actors. Like every other K-drama I have ever seen the production level is absolutely stellar. It’s a series that should not be missed.
